In case you didn't know, Google now releases fashion trend reports twice a year based on how consumers search for things on their engine. Fashion Data Scientist Olivier Zimmer and Fashion Brand Strategist Yarden Horwitz broke down about six billion different queries from January 2012 to February 2015 to analyze the trends to watch and forget.
According to them, jogger pants, tulle skirts, and midi skirts are the top trends for Summer 2015. And get this: consumers aren't just interested in where to buy tulle skirts, they want to know how to make tulle skirts.
Google also said that "normcore fashion" and "90s jeans" (high-waisted mom jeans with a tapered leg) have already reached their peak, while skinny jeans and custom t-shirts are probably expected to decrease in demand this year.
This news kind of makes us want to run to the store and find a frilly tulle skirt, because we are Carrie Bradshaw.
