J.Crew Hired A 4-Year-Old To Design Clothes For Them

Can you say dream job?

Meet the world's youngest fashion designer: 4-year-old Mayhem.

Mayhem is the stylish tot who copies red carpet gowns of Hollywood celebrities. The only difference is that her gowns are made out of paper.

Yeah, remember that time she copped Lupita Nyong'o's Golden Globe Awards cape dress?

How about Jennifer Lawrence's Dior gown?

She totally pulled off a Katy Perry that one time, too.

Well, American retail brand J.Crew just hired her to help them out with their children's line called Crew Cuts. Mayhem even visited their office to design the capsule collection using craft supplies and embellishments. The J.Crew team simply took those and turned them into the actual thing.

Jenny Cooper, the Head of Crew Cuts Design, told The Huffington Post"When we met with Mayhem for the first time we were really curious to see how she would work and were amazed to watch this barely 4-year-old girl start meticulously folding the pleats on a skirt and placing stones very specifically and carefully on a top she had just fashioned around herself. She has such an inventive and creative personality that really resonated with us. It was great to have a truly creative child be at the heart of the design process."

Mayhem's collaboration with the fashion brand hits stores in Spring 2015. We're crossing our fingers and hoping the collection comes in adult sizes, too! That would be quite fetch.
