A Kate Middleton fan just took celebrity inspired-fashion to the next level—by spending £7,000 (P432,666) to recreate some of the Duchess of Cambridge's looks! Granted, that's a teeny-tiny fraction of the cost of Kate's 2016 wardrobe (estimated at £174,170 or P10.77 million), but it's no small sum either!
According to Daily Mail, 29-year-old Kate Urbanska (oh hey, they even share the same name) made it her mission to nab the Duchess' style for less. She hunts down exact pieces on eBay, sources designer replicas, and even asks a mananahi to recreate certain looks, all of which she posts on her Instagram, wittily named @greatreplikate. "I love Kate Middleton and her style—her look is modest, timeless, and so different compared to other celebrities nowadays," she shares.
Of course, she *tries* to keep a level head when choosing which outfits to copy. Kate explains, "You have to also be realistic about which of Kate's outfits you'll actually be able to wear in reality. You might be dazzled by a full-length gown the princess wore, but if your lifestyle doesn't require a couture dress, then don't buy it!"
She did bite the bullet when it came to the Duchess' go-to pair of heels, Gianvitto Rossi's 105 pumps, which retail for £450 (P27,814). "The only item I've bought at full price is The Duchess' Gianvito Rossi heels in praline—sadly, they never seem to go on sale!" she explains.
