Kate Middleton just had another princess moment! At a ball held at Buckingham Palace on December 8, the Duchess of Cambridge entranced us all in a regal red gown by Jenny Packham.

But what really caught our eye was her hair accessory of choice that evening—a hand-me-down from the late Princess Diana.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the Duchess is wearing the Cambridge Lover's Knot, an intricate pearl and diamond-encrusted tiara that Princess Diana considered one of her favorites.

The tiara was crafted in 1913 by acclaimed British jewelry company Garrard & Co. for Queen Mary. In 1981, Queen Elizabeth II gave it to Princess Diana as a wedding present, though the latter returned it after she divorced from Prince Charles.
