The world puts so much importance on youth—anti-aging serums, young Hollywood on magazine covers, youngest achievers lists, and just about anything to do with being young. Here are 10 of the most beautiful and fashionable senior women to follow on Instagram. #lolagoals

Valerie’s family survived as Hungarian refugees who fled to Canada during the 1956 uprising against the Soviet regime. In high school, she landed a Hollywood movie role and moved to Los Angeles. She soon quit acting, raised a family, and pursued a career in interior design. In the ’90s, she survived more tragedies—losing her son to brain tumor, the death of her mother, and the suicide of her husband. “I see art and beauty everywhere… always have—in the veins of leaves, the translucent petals of orchids, the wings of moths, the tiny excellence of the violet spreading the same fragrance in the spring all over the world,” she wrote on her website.
