While routinely stalking our style crushes on Instagram, one glaring detail caught our eye. Nope, we don’t mean the amount of traveling Anne Curtis and company get up to (though that’s certainly something to talk about)—we’re talking about the dress they’ve all been wearing in Berlin, Brittany, and beyond.
It’s the midi dress, and it seems set on overtaking mini dresses (at least for the time being). Though there’s nothing particularly new about the length, what differs here is the look and the styling. Unlike basic bodycon midis from the normcore movement, this take is about timeless elegance and femininity. Think Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday, not Gigi Hadid off-duty in New York.
Here’s Anne Curtis channeling her style icon Audrey in a belted shirt dress. Everything about this look is super classic, from the striped fabric to her Chanel bag to her oversized sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Bea Soriano makes a case for 1940s fashion in a paisley tea dress. Paired with granny-style sandals, this outfit is as charming as the French town she’s exploring.
Lovi Poe, who’s quickly becoming one of our fave style inspirations, goes full-on girly in a flirty off-shoulder dress. If you think you have to give up your sneakers for this, think again!
For a less demure take on the look, check out how Liz Uy does it. By styling her frock with a slicked-back bob, round sunnies, and statement heels, she manages to make it more edgy.
But if you really can’t quit the ‘90s street-inspired aesthetic completely, let Belle Daza be your muse. How she dressed down this sheer lace style with a denim jacket and trainers is nothing short of cool.
