Featured

We've already seen the evolution of lingerie and swimwear, and the latest in the series of "100 years of things in under 3 minutes," are wonderful wedding dresses. If you're anything like us then you love just looking at these beautiful creations, even if you won't be wearing one any time soon.

So, enjoy Mode's retrospective video of the last century of wedding dress trends, showcasing the hottest styles from 1915 through to 2015.

1915. The journey starts in 1915 when veils were made from intricate lace, ladies wore gloves and carried huge bouquets.

1945. By 1945 women were experimenting more with makeup.

1965. 1965 saw fuller skirts, shorter sleeves and plenty of bows for decoration.

1985. Skip to 1985 and more was definitely more—more makeup, more hair, more sleeves, more material.

2005. This was a return to a more simple silhouette, with sweetheart necklines and wavy up 'dos.
