Heart Evangelista has always been candid about almost everything—her lifestyle, fashion choices, love life, and even her ups and downs as a celebrity. It's probably one of the many reasons why she continues to soar high as an A-list star in both the fashion and entertainment scenes.
Earlier last week, Heart went live on Instagram, casually doing her makeup and getting her hair done while yapping. Honestly, it was nothing out of the ordinary. (We all know she's always booked and busy.) Longtime followers know this is classic Heart—she's often shared behind-the-scenes glimpses in her countless YouTube vlogs and IG Reels, whether she's prepping for fashion week or getting ready for a brand event.
It was business as usual until a viewer pointed out what looked like a small bald spot on her scalp.
The exchange was later posted on Threads but has since been deleted. In the clip, Heart responded to the comment with humor and grace. "It's a secret poknat. Not really secret, but it's the poknat of all poknats. That poknat became a coconut, charot," she quipped.
The fan-uploaded clip ended shortly after that moment. In the replies on the now-deleted post, some users recalled Heart once sharing that she had a childhood medical scare involving a growth on her scalp, though it's unclear if that's where the poknat came from.

A poknat usually refers to a patch on the scalp where hair no longer grows—often due to scarring or a past injury. While some may feel self-conscious about it, others have learned to live with or treat it over time.
The fan question drew mixed reactions online—some felt it was insensitive, while others applauded Heart for handling it like a pro. One commenter wrote, "But I admire her for being so real and admitting having one. As an artista, normally taboo pag-usapan yung mga 'flaws' but madam answered it and in a funny way."
It's true—Heart could've brushed off the comment entirely. But in true Heart fashion, she chose to keep it light, honest, and refreshingly human. In doing so, she showed that even public figures deal with things that many of us do—and that it's perfectly fine to own them.

There are a number of options available for managing bald spots, depending on the cause. Some respond to products or treatments, while others might be permanent and require cosmetic procedures to address.
But the takeaway from Heart? Whether you cover it, treat it, or wear it with pride, confidence is what really shines through. Poknat or not, you deserve to feel confident in your own skin! ;)
