Andi Eigenmann And Jake Ejercito Were Proud AF As Daughter Ellie Reps Her School At The Yale Model UN

Because nothing makes parents prouder than seeing their children excel in the fields they’re passionate about, Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito were all smiles as their daughter Ellie Ejercito represented her school at the Yale Model United Nations (YMUN) in Singapore.

ICYDK, the YMUN is a three-day international conference that simulates the United Nations' parliamentary procedures, with delegates representing various countries. Participants are typically assigned a global issue and tasked with drafting a resolution, negotiating, and collaborating with delegates from other nations. It's no easy feat—you really need brains, strategy, and diplomacy for it, which Ellie has in abundance!

"Our Ellie as a delegate at Yale's international model UN conference in Singapore," Andi posts on her Instagram story.

The actress applauded Ellie for pursuing her own interests and dreams—enough to make her a proud parent.

"No matter where life takes her, she stays grounded and simple. Just like that of a true island girl. Keep doing YOU, Elle! The world could use more of that," the actress expressed.

Of course, Ellie's father, Jake, couldn't miss this proud moment. He even accompanied Ellie to Singapore to show his support!

In one of his Instagram Stories, he posted a photo of Ellie at the conference in her formal attire, complete with her delegate ID. She is also in what appears to be a group discussion with other delegates. Jokingly, Jake wrote, "Proud to have passed down essential life skills… like the side-eye."

Before high school, Ellie had been homeschooled by Andi in Siargao, alongside her siblings Lilo and Koa Alipayo. In 2024, Ellie shifted to a more traditional school setting for high school. In an emotional vlog, Andi shared that Ellie would be moving to Manila to stay with her dad while attending her new school.

"When everything started going back to normal after the pandemic, Ellie craved for a school setup that was more normal for her. I love homeschooling. It's been my dream since I was still studying. I've always thought that a homeschool setup would be a great way for me to learn and for my kids as well," Andi explained.

"But that's the thing, and that's the point of all of this. It's not about me. It's about the learner. And as for Ellie, that's what works better for her. As a parent, all I can do is guide her into making decisions that will be for her benefit, not mine, even if it's at the expense of mine," she added.

The actress said that although she's going to miss Ellie, she's genuinely happy for her to return to regular school and believes her daughter will make the most out of the experience.
