Anne Curtis is in a league of her own and always has been. She's been among the top celebrities in the Philippines, and it's all because of her passion and heart for her work as an actress and as a host.

The public's a.k.a. the madlang pipol's love for her proves just how much Anne connects with her audience in everything that she does. If that's not enough proof, then the 53rd Box Office Entertainment Awards should be, as it awarded her as the Female TV Host of the Year!

Of course, everyone's celebrating her win. After all, she's been a mainstay host of It's Showtime since it first aired in 2009. But some people on the Internet just couldn't resist raining on someone's parade—and Anne's not having any of that negativity.

"Filipino awards are weird. The one who's [sic] always absent got an award," a fan commented about Anne's most recent award. Most of the time, we'd all expect that celebs like Anne would ignore the comment and go on with their lives.

But here goes Anne responding to the demeaning comment, "FYI THIS WAS BASED ON LAST YEAR! When I was in my different hair girl era. Not this year." Period!

Her response did not go unnoticed. Some fans shared it on X (formerly Twitter) and prompted Anne to expound on her emotions regarding the matter—albeit sarcastically. "Hayaan nyo, makakaasa kayo wala akong hosting award next year because I was absent for half of this year acting for 2 different projects. 1 that I have yet to finish. Happy?" she said.

After posting that on 9:12 a.m. on July 1, 2025, Annd then expressed that she wants to move forward from the comment. She detailed, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but as of 10:40am I've decided to not let the words hurt me. Ok! See you guys on @itsShowtimeNa today! Ayoko na ma bad vibes! Iwan ko lang yan Kay Mia Hernandez." (Agree, Anne!)

As we've told you earlier, people adore Anne—and they didn't miss the chance to show it. Amid all the buzz from that online comment, fans rallied around her with messages of love and support.

"Don't feel bad for being absent for yourself and family. After all, busy as always on the side. Bag all the awards! It means more people appreciate you," a fan told her through X.

Anne Curtis' Projects In 2025

Facts first: Anne has been everywhere (sadly, not as much on It's Showtime for now). But it's definitely for multiple projects that she's thrilled to share with the world. She's been filming for a new series and a new film!

One of Anne's major projects this year is the Philippine adaptation of It's Okay To Not Be Okay. (Their press tour has kicked off, btw!) Anne stars in the series alongside Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino. Get this: it will be available for streaming on Netflix, too!

Next up on Anne's list: a film project with renowned filmmaker Erik Matti. While the details are still under wraps, she assured fans that her schedule has finally eased up, meaning she can eventually return to being the dyosa host we all love to see every day on It's Showtime!
