As 2026 rolled in, former actress Bangs Garcia marked the new year not with a comeback teaser or a showbiz announcement—but with a reflection on the life she's chosen away from the spotlight.

In an Instagram post shared from Wokingham, United Kingdom, Bangs opened up about "walking away" from her showbiz career in the Philippines and embracing a slower, more intentional life centered on faith, love, and family. Alongside her message were stunning family photos with her husband Lloyd Birchmore and their two daughters, strolling hand-in-hand through a sunlit park, grounded and visibly at peace.

"My husband and our two daughters are my greatest blessings," Bangs wrote. She shared that choosing a life rooted in presence and purpose over fame will always be her "proudest decision."

For fans who've long wondered if she misses showbiz—or if she ever regrets leaving it behind—Bangs addressed the question head-on. "People often ask if I regret walking away from my showbiz life in the Philippines," she shared. Her answer was immediate and deeply personal. One look at her daughters, she said, tells her everything she needs to know. "Not only are they gorgeous, but they also have kind hearts and sharp minds," Bangs added, calling them her greatest achievement in life.

Once a familiar face on local television and film—starring in shows like Dyesebel, Palos, and Lauriana—Bangs has since stepped away from the cameras and fully embraced her role as a hands-on mom. She's made it clear that motherhood isn't something she gave up her career for but something she chose wholeheartedly. "I love being a hands-on mum," she wrote, echoing the fulfillment she's found in being present for her children's everyday moments.

The move wasn't all smooth sailing—Bangs admitted she struggled with depression when she first left showbiz and adjusted to life in the U.K. Between new motherhood, a second pregnancy, and the pandemic, she said it hit her hard, but she found solace in vlogging, her supportive husband, and the little moments with her family.

"Walking away from my showbiz life in the PH was God's redirection," she wrote. "I traded the spotlight for a life filled with purpose, peace, and unconditional love." In other words: presence over applause, faith over fame.

She ended her post with a prayer for her followers, encouraging kindness, courage, and never settling for less than what they deserve. "This life, this love, this family… I thank God for it every day and I would choose it again and again," she wrote, alongside a warm New Year greeting.
