...and how her life has changed since becoming a mother.

After five years of living abroad, actress Bianca King is officially back in the Philippines—and she's ready to step back into showbiz with a bang. The star recently signed with Sparkle GMA Artist Center, marking her much-anticipated return to acting.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, she shared, "Dun ako nanirahan ng limang taon na hindi planado pero 'yun ang nangyari kaya in-embrace ko na lang siya." What was meant to be a short trip to celebrate her boyfriend (now husband) Ralph Wintle's birthday in Sydney, Australia, turned into a five-year chapter due to COVID-19 lockdowns, and Bianca ended up building a full life there with her family.
Bianca also shared how life overseas profoundly changed her perspective—especially around motherhood. Her daughter Sadie, who will turn three soon, became her entire world, and Bianca admits she dove head‑first into being a parent. "I am a professional mother," she laughed, calling motherhood her "career" as she studied everything from sleep routines to nutrition.
But even a supermom needs support, and that's exactly what brought her back to the Philippines. Bianca admitted she felt something was missing. "I was always in survival mode just trying to make it through the day… I am a hard worker, I am an artist, I like to do my own thing, so I felt I lost myself. 'Yan ang pinaka-common na maririnig mo sa mothers 'di ba? Nawala 'yung sense of self," she said. Bianca explained that the isolation abroad—without family or close friends nearby—took a real toll on her.
The decision to return to the Philippines was ultimately rooted in family and the need for balance. "Una kasi kailangan talaga namin ng suporta… Life can be so much better," she explained. She added that reclaiming a sense of self was just as important, saying, "Feeling ko mas magiging mas mabuting ina and wife ako kung meron akong buhay outside of the household, kung merong balance."
Bianca and Ralph also wanted Sadie to grow up surrounded by family and friends, especially cousins and playmates just her age—a support system they felt was essential not just for their daughter, but for themselves as parents.
Now, with her family settled back home, Bianca is ready to embrace her career once more. "Super exciting, long overdue siya. I really want to do something like a family drama, ensemble cast, politics, wealth, where each character has their own stable stories. May konting love din diyan pero hindi mawawala 'yung family dynamics," she teased.
Earlier in December, Bianca marked her return to the Philippines with a heartfelt glimpse of family life alongside Iza Calzado's family. Fun fact: the Wintle kids now get to spend time together almost daily with Iza's daughter, because Iza is married to Ralph's brother, Ben!
In Iza's post, she shared sweet moments of the two little girls playing dress-up and bonding over simple, everyday joys: "Disney Princess songs on repeat, spontaneous village adventures, and hearty meals together—there's so much joy watching the girls spend their days together and having a fuller tribe. We lovingly welcome this season of life now that both families are together in the Philippines. ❤️"
