Newport World Resorts' Delia D.: A Musical Featuring the Songs of Jonathan Manalo is now in full swing. This original Filipino musical serves a perfect mix of OPM classics, a heartwarming story of family and friendship, and the unapologetic art of drag.
Led by Phi Palmos, Delia D. is definitely making a name in the theater industry, a.k.a. it'll be your new musical obsession, FR!

What is "Delia D." about?
Delia D. follows the journey of Delia, an aspiring singer and drag queen, who dares to chase her dreams beyond her small-town roots. In the city, she finds a chosen family in Mama Eme (played by John Lapus) and her vibrant drag sisters at the bar, Drag&Tell.
Fueled by her dream of becoming a live singer—just like her idol, Mamon (played by Tex Ordoñez-De Leon)—Delia joins the high-stakes singing competition, Idols of the Galaxy. Her decision, however, stirs tension within her drag family, who initially disapprove of her stepping away from lip-sync performances and their shared drag stage.
Still, despite their concerns, Mama Eme and the rest of the queens stand by Delia, cheering her on as she steps into the world of live singing—where she'll meet new friends, new enemies, and a new version of herself.
As Delia journeys toward stardom, the show becomes a gentle reminder not to lose yourself in the pursuit of success. Packed with electrifying drag performances, powerful musical numbers, and emotionally charged moments, Delia D. offers a storytelling experience that's as remarkable as it is heartfelt.
Directed by Dexter Santos and featuring songs by hitmaker Jonathan Manalo, the show has major sing-along energy—even if it's your first time watching.
