Are Dustin Yu, Ralph De Leon, And River Joseph Open To Doing BL Projects?

Breaking into the entertainment business is never easy, and Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition ex-housemates Dustin Yu, Ralph De Leon, and River Joseph know exactly what's at stake.

The trio guested on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on February 23, opening up about their dreams, boundaries, and what they're willing to do to rise to the top. Tito Boy didn't waste time easing in. "This is an extremely competitive business," he said. "What are you willing to do to make it big in this industry, and how hungry are you?"

With a mix of excitement and determination, Dustin talked about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like it was destiny calling—and he's not one to ghost a chance. "I'm willing to give everything ngayon. I mean, hindi ko 'to susukuan. Itong career opportunity na binigay sa akin… Andito na rin po ako ngayon eh, so might as well," he said.

He believes in giving his all, but it's not just about hustle for hustle's sake. For him, "lahat magiging posible basta may puso at sobrang masipag lang pagtrabahuhan."

River shared a similar hunger for growth but spoke more reflectively about his current stage in the industry. "Ako, I'm willing to give everything right now. I want to be the best actor I can be, so whatever it takes to get to that, I think I'm willing to," he said. 

On the other hand, Ralph is guided by his comfort level and personal values. While ambitious, he is careful to choose roles that don't push him beyond his limits, saying, "As long as it's within my comfort zone and if it's within my values."

The conversation took a playful turn when Tito Boy asked about more daring aspects of acting, including sexy roles and same-sex kissing scenes. River admitted he isn't ready for the bold roles just yet: "If you ask me right now, no Tito Boy, but maybe in the future." However, he winked at the possibilities for same-sex kisses, adding, "If the role is good, if the project is good, why not?"

Ralph went full contemplative mode—deep thinking face engaged—on the idea of kissing a fellow male actor like Dustin. "Ako po, I've seen it done tastefully before, but again, I feel like now is not yet the time. Not for now," he said, careful but honest. Meanwhile Dustin was grinning the entire time, clearly amused by the question and Ralph's serious expression.

Unfortunately, Tito Boy didn't push Dustin for an answer on the kissing question, so we're left hanging (and a little bit desperate). But if his energy during the ambition talk is anything to go by, we have a sneaky feeling he might just be open to trying new things—in the right project, ofc.

The "heartthrob" trio is set to star in Secrets of Hotel 88 alongside their fellow PBB housemates Mika Salamanca, Brent Manalo, Bianca De Vera, Will Ashley, AZ Martinez, Klarisse de Guzman, Esnyr, Xyriel Manabat, Josh Ford, and Kira Balinger. The mystery-drama series exclusive streamed last February 23 via iWant, and is set to premiere on free TV by March 2.
