Elijah Canlas Finally Confirms Breakup With Miles Ocampo And Addresses Cheating Rumors

For many months now, longtime couple Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo have been the subject of breakup rumors amid growing speculation about the status of their relationship. Now, Elijah has finally spoken up and confirmed their split.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz posted on September 1, Elijah confirmed that they have gone their separate ways for good.

"I think it's time for me to say na, opo, totoo siya. And out of respect for Miles, siyempre, I'll always have love for her. Parang kailangan, sabihin na lang din para wala na yung mga speculation na mas makakapagpalala pa sa…itong mga pinagdadaanan ko, pinagdadaanan namin," he said.

Elijah also opened up about the heartbreak that came with their separation, recalling everything they went through to make their relationship work before. He shared, "Yun yung masakit na part about it. Kasi nga, we got back together thinking, 'This is it.' But yeah, that's what happens with relationships."

He also added that perhaps what matters despite everything is that they gave their relationship a chance. "Binigay namin lahat. Yun yung masasabi ko po. Binigay namin lahat, and we broke up mutually and very amicably. Walang hate, at least, on my part."

ICYDK, the couple first broke up in 2023 after sharing that they were going through a "rough patch" while carrying their own personal matters. But later that year, they were seen together again and became open about working on their relationship. And in 2024, Miles confirmed that they had gotten back together, saying that Elijah was her "first jowa, first boyfriend, first everything."

So after years of being together and with many fans rooting for them, Elijah couldn't help but be honest about the effect the breakup had on him. He said, "Masakit. Masakit yung gano'ng klase na mutual na wala naman talagang problema pero na-realize niyo lang na baka hindi lang talaga match."

For Elijah, those times together were truly meaningful for him. He added, "Sobrang dami naming pinagdaanan, and ang hirap na iminimize lang yun sa breakup na ganito kase—sa ispekulasyon na ganito ganyan—no, it's much more than that. And kaming dalawa lang talaga yung makakaalam nun. And sana respetuhin ng mga tao yon."

Rumors of a possible third party began swirling online Elijah and singer Thea Astley were spotted in La Union this August. In the videos and screenshots that circulated on the Internet, the two were allegedly seen at a public market in the city.

Thea was the first to address the rumors on the online show TRGGRD! last August 28, saying that they're only friends and that she hasn't cheated on anyone before.

Now, Elijah is also speaking up about the allegations. Responding to Ogie's question about being branded as a cheater, Elijah said, "That's not true, like, Miles would know. It's not true. People close to us would know that it's not true. There's no third-party involved ever."

He also made it clear that he doesn't have any romantic relationship with Thea. He clarified, "Thea and I are just friends. And we've been friends for a while, and it wasn't just the two of us in L.U. We were with our other friend."

As for what's next for him, Elijah said that he's not yet ready to enter another relationship.

"It's not time for that at all. Right now, I'm focused on work. I'm focused on myself, you know. I was in a relationship for five years. That's a long time in my life. And those five years, I don't regret any of it. Those were the best five years of my life. So, parang, it would be a dishonor to myself, even to my heart, to just jump into—straight into [a] relationship agad," he shared.
