Emman Atienza, the daughter of television host Kim Atienza and his wife, Felicia, has sadly passed away in Southern California. She was 19. She graduated high school from International School Manila in 2024.
In a joint Instagram post on Friday morning, Kim, Felicia, and their children, Jose and Eliana, announced Emman's "unexpected passing."
"It's with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman," the family wrote. They remember Emman as a bright and compassionate young woman, who brought warmth and light to everyone around her.
"She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her," they shared. "She wasn't afraid to speak openly about her mental health journey. Her honesty helped so many feel less alone."
The Atienza family asked for privacy as they grieve, and encouraged others to honor Emman's memory by living with kindness and empathy.
"Please carry forward the qualities she lived by: compassion, courage, and a little extra kindness in your everyday life."
The Cosmo team sends our deepest love and condolences to the Atienza family during this incredibly difficult time.
