Ashley Ortega Is Excited For Her First-Ever MMFF Entry—Plus, She Dishes On Her Post-GMA Gala Plans

The Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemates are all in for a packed 2025. After the successful run of the show, each one of them is now having their own endorsements, new songs to record, new projects to film, and many more. They're now at the center of the spotlight.

That's certainly the case for Sparkle artist Ashley Ortega. Even though she and AC Bonifacio were the first duo to be evicted during their season, Ashley has continued to pursue her acting career with the same passion and dedication she's always had. 🙂‍↕️

In fact, the actress has been cast in her first-ever Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry! She'll be part of the timeless franchise, Shake, Rattle, and Roll. Just a few days before the GMA Gala 2025, a story conference was held for Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins. Ashley will star alongside esteemed actresses in the industry like Janice De Belen, Arlene Muhlach, Carla Abellana, and fellow young stars Loisa Andalio and Ysabel Ortega.

When Cosmo caught up with her during the GMA Gala 2025, we asked for her quick reaction to her new film, which they'll be filming really soon. She expressed just how happy she is to be doing her first MMFF film already.

"I'm actually super excited kasi first time ko lang din po maging part ng MMFF. I'm really grateful maging part ng Shake, Rattle, and Roll. And siyempre, isang malaking karangalan ang maging part ng isang iconic movie," she told Cosmopolitan Philippines in an interview.

Ashley has always left the audience in awe after her acting stints. She once went viral for her portrayal of a comfort woman in the GMA series, Pulang Araw. That's why everyone's looking forward to her ultimate return to our screens as an actress.

Aside from her acting chops, we admire Ashley for her visuals and the elegance she exudes everywhere she goes. During the GMA Gala 2025, Ashley served sophistication with a sleek bun and a dazzling gold gown by Vee Tan. She told Cosmo, "I think the inspiration is to look like an Oscar award. Char!" before laughing. 😂

The actress walked down the GMA Gala 2025 red (actually blue) carpet with her boyfie, Mavy Legaspi. As the hosts mentioned, it was the first time that the two officially flaunted their relationship at the prestigious event. But it wasn't the first time that they became each other's dates for a grand get-together. It was actually back at the ABS-CBN Ball 2025 where Ashley and Mavy hard-launched their relationship.

So, with all the PBB housemates coming together again in the event, plus her boyfriend, we asked Ashley about her plan after the gala. Instead of telling us how she'll be resting, Ashley slightly opened up about how she'll be working nonstop after the gala.

"After the gala? Magre-rehearse na kami for the PBB concert. Tuloy-tuloy na after nito," she said with a smile.
