Motherhood is a profound milestone in every woman's life. It requires strength, love, and every part of your well-being. This is something KZ Tandingan acknowledges, but she's also being honest about how she's not ready for it yet.

She's not shutting her doors to motherhood, though. It's just that her focus as of the moment is her career, which is definitely on a streak at the moment. "Hindi naman din na hindi pero for now, parang ayaw pa... Kasi doon tayo babalik sa I think I'm in my season of waiting sa career ko na parang ngayon, I'm happy with where I am pero I'm hoping na sana may mangyari pa na I have more songs, parang ganun," she said.

They're taking their time when it comes to building a family. The couple noted that when the right time comes, they'll wholeheartedly accept it. So now that it's just the two of them, they navigate through their booming careers with much love for each other and for their music.

At the end of it all, KZ wants to become a mother at her own pace and not anyone else's. Becoming a mother requires full attention and dedication, just like how she's always been towards her career. If she ever becomes a mom, she wants to take a break from her music career without any regrets at all.

"Ayoko dumating 'yung time na kapag nabuntis ako, baka kapag dumating 'yung time na may anak na ako, I don't wanna rob my child of the time that they deserve because gusto kong mag-work pa nang mag-work," she expressed adding: "Ayoko din dumating 'yung time na baka kapag hindi na ako mag-work, baka at the back of my mind, may regret ako na 'di ko napaglaban 'yung career ko."

KZ may not be your usual celebrity who's always vocal about their views online. She's not one to publicly post most of the time, but she's that kind of singer who makes her point heard through her songs.

This 2025, KZ actually released a song called "Numbers." It felt like the perfect love letter from woman to another woman facing society's expectations. KZ released it in March to celebrate Women's Month. In an Instagram post, KZ highlighted what the song wants to convey for everyone, "Let's forget about the numbers that pressure women. Remember, you are worthy of love, no matter your insecurities."

The lyrics read:
Born in 1966
Am I an old dog, can't learn new tricks?
Twenty-five to thirty-five
Is it too late for mе to bear a child?
Is it always 24/7?
I worry 'bout if I have evеn
Done what I shoulda done
Can I still be number one?

The two dated for five years before tying the knot in a simple ceremony in August 2020. Then, just as they reached their third year as a married couple, KZ and TJ held another intimate wedding with family and friends in August 2023.

Just recently, they had a breakthrough collab project as they sang everyone's fave romantic song, "Palagi." The song charted on various music charts and even became the official soundtrack for the blockbuster film, Hello, Love Again starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.
