Maja Salvador Shares The Very First (And Only!) Photo Of Her Daughter's Face

Since becoming parents, Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez have been intentional about keeping Maria out of the public eye. But this year, as she grows older, they decided to share a glimpse of her on social media.

"To our Maria, posting this one and only photo para ipakita namin sa buong mundo kung gaano kami ka proud sa pinakamalaking blessing na natanggap namin," Maja wrote.

"Pangako ni Mama and Dada na proprotektahan ka namin at ang privacy mo kahit anong mangyari anak. So when the time comes may choice ka kung paano mo gusto makilala ng mga tao," she added.

For celebrities who have spent much of their lives in the spotlight, this conscious choice to protect their child's privacy is definitely a win. ICYDK, this is the first time Maja has shared a photo of Maria showing her face. Previous posts featured only her back or partial glimpses. 

In the photo, Maria is bundled up in winter wear, enjoying the snow as the family spent the holidays in Canada. Maja also tagged two accounts in the post: Rambo's and a private account dedicated to Maria. 

Rambo also shared his own version of the moment, posting a family photo of the three of them set against snowy scenes in Canada.

"Heading into 2026 with a grateful heart, and with all the lessons that 2025 has taught us," he shared. 

Maja gave birth to Maria in May 2024. Earlier this year, the couple opened up in an interview about why they chose to limit their daughter's social media presence. The reason is simple, but important: They want to maintain boundaries between their personal and public lives as celebrities.

"Kung naumpisahan mo nang i-post siya, parang mangyayari talaga 'yun, e. Hilahin 'yung bata, magpa-picture, pisilin 'yung pisngi. [Kids] don't have any idea bakit sila ginaganun na kilala pala sila. Iyon 'yung iniiwasan namin. Because hindi ko rin alam mag-react na parang, 'Ay, bawal po.' And then, 'Bakit bawal, e, pino-post niyo siya?'" Maja explained. 

She also revealed that several brands have already reached out to them for endorsements involving their child, offers that the couple chose to decline. Rambo echoed the sentiment, emphasizing his wish for their daughter to grow up with a sense of normalcy, away from the spotlight.

"There's a lot of people na ang mata nasa atin, o nasa mga individual na nasa entertainment industry. Kami, isa sa reasons namin for the kid talaga, for our baby, is for her to enjoy ‘yung buhay niya, na habang lumalaki, na hindi siya kilala," he said.
