OMG, Ogie Diaz Gifts His Daughter P1 Million For Being Single At 25

Talk about a birthday surprise! Erin Diaz just turned 25 and received one million pesos from her dad, Ogie Diaz, as part of a promise he made to his daughters years ago.

During her recent birthday celebration, Erin got emotional when her dad surprised her with a check worth {1 million. She documented the whole moment in her recent vlog, including Ogie's short message before he revealed the gift.

"Sabi ko sa kaniya, ano, pangako ko sa inyo, pag 25 wala pa kayong asawa, wala pa kayong anak…Erin, my gift to you," Ogie said. Then he handed Erin the check, which quickly brought her to happy tears.

Ogie said the promise also comes from wanting his daughters to have time for themselves before settling into family life. "Baka sabihin nagyayabang tayo—hindi. 25 na kasi siya. Sabi ko, walang asawa, walang anak at 25…Kasi gusto ko, i-enjoy nila yung kanilang kabataan," he said.

He also shared his thoughts on the responsibilities that can come with having a child, especially when someone may still want to enjoy their freedom and social life. "Mahirap kapag nag-asawa, nakipag-live-in na nga tapos biglang…iiwan mo yung anak mo sa'min tapos maggi-gimik-gimik ka. Mas maganda, i-enjoy mo," he explained.

But the cash wasn't just a birthday surprise or a reward for sticking to their deal. Ogie also wants Erin to use the money for her future plans, particularly her plans to start a business. "Kasi magnenegosyo siya kaya yan ang gagamitin niya…Para at least alam niya na pera niya yan at kailangan niyang alagaan at palaguin," he said.

Ogie also hinted that Erin is interested in starting a coffee shop. ICYDK, Erin graduated from college with a degree in Culinary Arts, so a food and beverage business could be right up her alley.

Meanwhile, Erin also took to Instagram to celebrate turning 25 with the people closest to her. She wrote, "Turning 25 with the people I'm closest to ♥️♥️♥️ the ones who have molded me, supported me, and will forever hold a special place in my heart," she wrote.

In the photos, Erin can be seen celebrating with her family, including her dad Ogie, her mom, and her four sisters. But there was also another special person in the birthday snaps: her boyfriend.

Yup, while Erin may not have a family of her own yet, she already has a partner. In fact, she and her boyfriend celebrated their second anniversary just days before her birthday. In her anniversary post, she wrote her partner a sweet message: "HINDI PWEDE na matapos ang araw nang walang post 😋 Happy 2nd Anniversary, baby! ❤️ More bardagulan, more topak (ako lang pwede), and more memories together."

And Erin's not the only Diaz daughter keeping an eye on that one-million-peso promise. Her second-eldest sister, 22-year-old Godhie Diaz, joked in Erin's vlog that she now has three years to go before she can get her own grand gift. Godhie recently graduated cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Medical Technology, so she had a milestone to celebrate herself while she waits for her turn.

But seeing Erin enjoy her 25th birthday, Ogie's gift is also just a pretty memorable reminder for his daughters to enjoy life at their own pace.
