Queenie Pacquiao Is Officially A College Girl In Chicago—And Her Family Was Right There To Help Her Move In

Published on Aug 19, 2026
It's a whole new chapter for Queenie Pacquiao as she gets ready to start college at Loyola University Chicago in Illinois, United States. And before classes officially begin, the 17-year-old is already settling into her new home, with her family right there to help her move in.
In a series of Instagram posts, her ever-supportive mom, Jinkee Pacquiao, documented Queenie's move-in day. And in the first post, she shared a sweet message: "New city, new campus, same amazing spirit. 💗 My heart is so full and a little bit heavy, but [I] know you are ready for this Queenie! God be with you always! 💗"
The photos show the family helping Queenie unpack and arrange her things in her new dorm, which comes with a bunk bed with a study desk and drawer underneath, as well as a hanging closet in the room.
Of course, her dad, professional boxer and former senator Manny Pacquiao, and her older sister Princess Pacquiao were there, too, helping figure out where everything should go and even double-checking the bed. (ICYDK, 19-year-old Princess is currently based in London, where she's studying biomedical sciences at Royal Holloway, University of London—so she definitely knows a thing or two about the college life abroad!)
It's giving full-on family support! 🥹
Queenie is set to take Forensic Science at her new university, which costs $56,930 (around P3,000,000) for two semesters. The family took some time to explore the campus during the move, and even passed by the school's Mundelein Center for Fine and Performing Arts, one of the university's well-known landmarks.
Jinkee shared another touching message, writing, "Bittersweet, but so ready. God bless you Queenie! 🙏♥️"
And we totally get why this moment feels extra emotional. Queenie just finished senior high school at Brent International School in Metro Manila last May, where she had studied since kindergarten.
So during an interview with sports journalist Dyan Castillejo last June, Queenie admitted that leaving her longtime school was "bittersweet," saying, "I'm gonna miss my friends, but I'm excited for college."
Queenie also shared that while most of her batchmates seemed to be heading to schools in the United Kingdom, she decided to go to Loyola University Chicago because she wanted to experience living in a city she hadn't visited before. She shared, "I think the campus is nice, and they say the people are nice there, too. And I really just wanna visit, like, go there for the city."
As for her degree, Queenie initially planned to study law before changing her mind. During her conversation with Dyan, she explained, "After this year, I was like, I don't know if I could do law. I'd rather do something in the sciences, so I might as well do something in forensic science."
Queenie will begin college in the fall semester. And according to Loyola University Chicago's official website, classes for the fall 2026 semester begin on August 24 and run through December, with final examinations taking place at the end of the term. There will also be a Thanksgiving break in late November.
And just like that, Queenie is ready to begin her college era, with her family sending her off with plenty of love and support. 💗
