All The Sweet Moments Between Hyun Bin And Son Ye Jin At The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards

Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, also known as the BinJin couple, graced the recently held Blue Dragon Film Awards 2025 in Seoul, South Korea. Their films, No Other Choice and Harbin, respectively, made it to the amazing roster of nominated films for the awards show this year.

It was a triple win for the two actors. Hyun Bin won Best Actor for Harbin, and yes, Ye Jin also won the Best Actress award for No Other Choice. What a feat!

As if those awards weren't big enough achievements of their own, Ye Jin and Hyun Bin were also awarded the Popularity Award! These awards triggered a lot of interaction from the two, which, if you ask us, is a rare occurrence, given that the two chose to keep most of their married life private.

But again, private doesn't mean they don't get to express their love for each other in public. During their acceptance speech in the Blue Dragon Film Awards this year, Hyun Bin took his time to thank his wife for being by his side.

"To my wife, Ye Jin, who is such a source of strength just by existing, and to our son, I want to say I love you and thank you," Hyun Bin declared. His words gained a heart sign from Ye Jin that was caught on camera.

When it was time for them to accept their Popularity Award onstage, the two were, of course, the center of attention. As the MCs noted, it was the first time that the awards show saw an actor couple go up onstage and win their respective awards. Ye Jin, being the bubbly one, moved closer to Hyun Bin to pose, and everyone was brought to laughter—including the shy but happy Hyun Bin.

It was a simple moment, but it showed how Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have kept their passion for the industry while also building their family out of the spotlight.

It's been five years since the two actors were seen together at an awards show. And yes, it was for the last project they top-billed, the phenomenal Crash Landing On You (CLOY).

It was also the drama where they got to know each other a little better. Because, believe it or not, CLOY was already their second project together. Hyun Bin and Ye Jin first starred in the thriller film The Negotiation in 2017. So, perhaps, that was when their love story really began.

By 2022, they were saying, "I do" in a wedding that felt like every K-drama fan's dream come true. When their wedding photos circulated online, the world just couldn't stop being happy for both of them.

Before 2022 ended, Ye Jin also gave birth to their son, whom she usually calls Alkong (which is an endearment that translates to "lovely cutie"). From time to time, Ye Jin—who's more active online than her husband—shares photos from their family days, though she keeps their son's face hidden to protect his privacy.

Just a year ago, Hyun Bin made his first variety show appearance in a decade. The award-winning actor expressed his gratitude and love for his family in an episode of You Quiz On The Block.

As translated by Allkpop, Hyun Bin expressed, "She must have really wanted to act again after all this time. Watching me act probably made her want to do it even more. But as a mom, she had things she needed to take care of, so she endured it patiently. I feel a bit sorry for that. Seeing how excited she is for this project makes me feel even happier."

Hyun Bin also shared that Ye Jin gave him all the support he needed during and after filming Harbin. It's his goal to make Ye Jin feel his support, now that Ye Jin is filming a new movie. In the interview, Hyun Bin also confirmed that he sent a food truck for his wife and he sent it under their son's name! Last month, Ye Jin posted the photos on her Instagram with a simple yet heartfelt, "Thank you."

As of writing, their son just turned 3 years old! Hyun Bin is set to star in his first (!) K-drama again since CLOY. He'll be top-biling the action series, Made In Korea, which will soon be streaming on Disney+.

At the same time, Ye Jin is reportedly starring as a CEO in her next K-drama called Variety. And get this: she might just be acting alongside Ji Chang Wook.
