Leveling Up With VIVIZ: The Trio Gets Real About Their First Album, Biggest Challenges, And Future In K-Pop

Published on Jul 30, 2025
In the K-pop world, comebacks are the heartbeat of fandoms. It's what keeps the excitement alive and gives fans something to look forward to constantly. While it's every idol group's goal to have comebacks and show something new to their fans, for VIVIZ, their recent comeback holds a special meaning for them.
The trio, namely, SINB, UMJI, and EUNHA, recently marked their first full-length album with A Montage of ( ). Their album wasn't just a comeback, but a statement of their commitment to their craft.
"This album tells the story of how we've grown by filling in the blanks in our journey so far. It also carries a message that we'll continue filling the remaining blank spaces in the future with VIVIZ's colorful charms," SINB said in an email interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines.
For VIVIZ, this album feels like a breath of fresh air. "It felt refreshing because it's been a while since we did such an upbeat and fun song, one that has us smiling while we sing," EUNHA expressed.
Speaking about their title track, "La La Love Me," EUNHA notes how they wanted the song to capture a more relaxed and refreshing energy from their group, all while tackling the concept of love, too. "Our title track expresses the excitement and the fluttery emotions during those fleeting moments when someone is falling in love," she told Cosmo.
As with any good comeback, VIVIZ made sure to serve something fresh—not just for the fans, but for themselves too. This time around, the girls dove headfirst into the dance-pop genre, a direction that felt both fun and fitting.
UMJI broke it down best: "Performance is one of VIVIZ’s biggest strengths, so it felt natural for us to go with a dance track that lets us showcase that. We also wanted to release a song that's enjoyable to listen to and can capture people's attention." And honestly, with "La La Love Me"? Mission accomplished.

VIVIZ on releasing their solo tracks
The road hasn't always been smooth for the girls, but the setbacks they've experienced surely have shaped them into artists with depth. Today, they move forward not just with the skills, but with the heart.
And that's something that the group incorporated into their album, which, by the way, included solo tracks of the members! It was quite a challenge for SINB to be able to produce and perform solo tracks. But together they conquered each of their solo tracks.
EUNHA, who sang "Milky Way," openly shared with Cosmo, "Most of the lyrics were written by another lyricist. While the message is important, we focused on choosing the words with soft pronunciation that matched the mood of the song."
UMJI, on the other hand, tried exploring songwriting with "Love Language." She said, "I wanted to try writing lyrics that expressed emotions in a more direct and honest way, without beating around the bush."
SINB made sure to convey the right emotions not just through her song but through her performance. "I didn't write the lyrics myself, but I paid close attention to delivering them with the confident attitude that the song conveys," SINB noted.
Surely, fans are now looking forward to them performing these solo tracks in their world tour, NEW LEGACY. It has recently kicked off in Seoul last July 5-6, 2025. Sadly, Manila hasn't made it to the list of cities they will be visiting for the tour.
So, the girls made sure to send some love to Filipino Na.Vs through our interview. SINB said, "We'll make sure to visit our Filipino Na.V as soon as we can, so please wait just a little longer! Thank you always, and we love you!"

VIVIZ on overcoming challenges, moving forward
A Montage of ( ) is definitely a major milestone—not just musically, but personally—as the trio proved just how strong they are together. Looking back, the journey hasn't been easy. SINB, EUNHA, and UMJI originally debuted as part of the six-member group GFRIEND, which became inactive in 2021 after six years in the industry. In 2022, the three ladies reintroduced themselves to the world as VIVIZ.
The three K-pop idols have faced their fair share of challenges, but through it all, they've worked hard, stayed grounded, and grown stronger every step of the way.
"Honestly, there was no bigger challenge than starting anew as VIVIZ," EUNHA said about their biggest challenge as idols. "Trios are not that common in K-pop, and we were honestly worried, 'Will fans and the public like us?' But we kept working hard, and now it feels like people really recognize and accept VIVIZ."
Now, despite the hurdles they've faced—and whatever challenges may still come—VIVIZ continues to lead with gratitude. They make it a point to appreciate every moment, every lesson, and every bit of love that’s come their way. "I think I've learned how to give and receive love thanks to the members and our fans. There are so many things I wouldn't have experienced if I weren’t doing this job," SINB shared, offering a rare and heartfelt glimpse into her journey.
UMJI makes one thing clear: as long as VIVIZ is here, they're not settling—they're evolving. The goal to show their best selves isn't just a promise, it's a driving force they refuse to let go of. "Since I've been in this environment from my teenage years, I've come to realize that there's so much to learn in this small but vast world. We are still driven by the desire to show our best selves. I hope fans will continue to look forward to even cooler and more refreshing sides of VIVIZ," UMJI concluded.
