There was the close-up of her engagement ring—reportedly a Tiffany & Co. piece—the bouquet of orchids hiding a kiss, and, of course, the wedding cake that delivered the clearest message of all: a simple round cake covered in ivory frosting, finished with the words "just married" written in cursive.

The wedding cake came from Wadough's, the Quezon City-based cake shop known for its custom creations—a small but interesting detail, considering the celebration took place in Makati City (with Makati Mayor Nancy Binay among the guests). "We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the cake was actually ordered for THE wedding," Wadough's shared.

SPOT.ph reached out to Wadough’s for the details behind the confection. The cake shop has shared that the wedding cake, with its simple buttercream frosting, hides three flavors: red velvet, vanilla, and chocolate, with a tablea ganache filling.

The cake comes with a P3,000 price tag—a fitting choice for a civil wedding that embraced a more understated approach. Because sometimes, a wedding cake doesn’t need towering tiers, fancy fillings and decorations, or a five-digit price tag to make a statement.
