Is Your VL On A Budget? This New Travel Card Has No International Fees And Real-Time Spending Tracking

Published on Dec 3, 2025
If you've ever spent your first hour abroad standing in front of an ATM, triple-checking exchange rates, or scrolling through five different apps just to confirm—or even find—a booking, then you know how chaotic travel logistics can get. 😅 So anytime something comes along that makes trips even a little easier, it's worth talking about—especially if you're already planning your next VL.
What is the GCash Klook Travel Card?
The GCash Klook Travel Card is a reloadable card that combines the financial convenience of GCash with the travel expertise of Klook. It lets you pay in over 200 countries, manage spending in pesos, and book tours or experiences—all on one platform. Think of it as a more streamlined way to handle the basics without needing multiple apps or digging for cash the second you land.
"By combining Klook's expertise in curating top travel experiences with GCash's trusted financial ecosystem, we're bringing greater value and ease to every journey," shares Michelle Ho, Klook Philippines General Manager, at the travel card's media launch event.
Btdubs, it's still a standard GCash Card at its core, so the interface and features will feel familiar to long-time users. What's new is how it's built to support travel: tapping into Klook's network of experiences, tours, and activities in a way that keeps everything in one ecosystem.
What are the perks of having the GCash Klook Travel Card?
Because it maintains all the usual GCash Card features, the learning curve is pretty minimal. You can top it up the same way, track expenses the same way, and keep your budgeting tools exactly where they are. But there are a few travel-focused extras worth noting:
Straightforward international use: No more juggling multiple cards or scrambling for currency exchange services! Powered by Visa, the card offers low forex rates, zero international service fees, and ATM access in over 200 countries.
Local-currency payments: Helpful if you prefer paying in the local currency to avoid surprise charges or unclear conversions.
Easy booking: Since it connects with Klook, booking activities feels more seamless, especially for last-minute planners.
Expense visibility: You can monitor your spending in real time, which is always a plus when you're abroad and trying not to blow your budget by day two.
Occasional perks for experiences: Some bookings come with small add-ons or discounts, which is always a nice bonus if you're already using the platform.
There are also welcome perks upon activating the card, like a P1,000 airport transfer voucher and a P350 Klook eSIM voucher. You also get an annual P1,000 hotel voucher and 5% off Klook bookings up to five times per year. Plus, cardholders also automatically get Gold Tier status in the Klook Rewards Program with complimentary eSIMs, triple KlookCash, and over P6,000 in bonus travel coupons. 🤑
When will the GCash Klook travel card be available for purchase?
The card launches this December 2025, and users can sign up for the waitlist through the Klook website and app. The first 10,000 customers can get the card at a special introductory price of P250.
