Mylene Dizon Gets Real About Never Wanting To Get Married Amid 12-Year Relationship With BF

Marriage isn't for everyone. Some want to settle down when they're 25, some want to wait it out until they're stable and rich—or just financially stable to create a family. Some want to do it in their 40s, and some want it to never happen. Case in point: Mylene Dizon.
In an intimate conversation with Bernadette Sembrano, the 48-year-old Mylene has shared that she doesn't want to get married—ever. But take note, she actually maintains long-term relationships, but marriage just isn't on her mind.
She's set on her principles, and a burning desire to experience life to the fullest. This is on top of being a top-caliber actress, a mom of two teenage boys, and a businesswoman.
Mylene is currently in a relationship with boyfriend, basketball coach Jason Webb, and they've been dating for 12 years now! When asked why they haven't settled down as a couple, Mylene straight-up said, "Ayoko. I can't be tied down. I can't."
It's a strong statement that not many of us can admit. But Mylene is set and decided on the things she wants in her life. Besides, she knows herself. "I can't even be in the city. Malikot ako eh. I don't like the feeling of being locked in one place," she told Bernadette.
Truly, Mylene's been out and about. Since her career catapulted into being the Mylene Dizon of Philippine television, Mylene's trying out all sorts of hobbies and activities—not just to pass time—but to improve herself.

Mylene Dizon On Raising Her Two Sons
Even with her busy life, Mylene made sure to be the best version of herself as a mother to her two boys, Lucas and Tomas. They're her sons from her previous relationship with Paolo Paraiso.
Mylene admits in the same convo with Bernadette that she's a disciplinarian. Well, she might not be as scary and strict as her famous kontrabida roles, but Mylene has raised her kids to be independent and smart in this world.
"I'm a disciplinarian. Kailangan eh. Because I'm a single mom. And I have to do both jobs. I'm a mother of boys, and I've dated many men—hindi naman ganun karami, pero I've dated men. I know some men who don't know anything about life, or don't know how to navigate their lives, because they were too spoiled," she said.
And that's how she instilled discipline in her kids. Now, she proudly shares how intelligent her boys have become—and how deeply they value education, just as she always did. "Because that's the only thing [education] I can give [...] Matatalino mga anak ko, alam nila 'yung value ng education, at alam nila na 'yun lang ang ipapamana ko sa kanila," Mylene concluded.
