The same charisma and strong presence that Alex Eala brings to the tennis court were just as striking as she graced the red carpet at the 2026 Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid—this time, in a modern Filipiniana.

The look was designed by her uncle, renowned Filipino designer Rhett Eala. The Filipiniana featured a detachable cropped bolero in the shade of oat, layered over a floor-length, strapless gown. Beneath the bolero, the dress revealed a structured bodice with cross-pleating design.

ICYDK, the Laureus World Sports Awards is one of the most prestigious awarding bodies in sports, honoring outstanding athletes across different disciplines worldwide. Alex attended the event alongside some of the biggest names in sports, including Carlos Alcaraz, who was named Laureus World Sportsman of the Year.

Olympians such as Katie Ledecky, Mondo Duplantis, and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone also graced the event with their presence. Lando Norris of McLaren was likewise in attendance, taking home the Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year award.
