Everyone's personal style is a form of self-expression, but at this year's Preview Ball, the men turned it into an assignment for everyone watching. The theme, "Deconstructed Fashion," pushed guests to skip the polished look and show the raw stuff instead: exposed seams, undone hems, and silhouettes that looked "unfinished" on purpose—and they clearly got the memo.

Guys, consider this your cheat sheet. Here are some of the menswear looks from the night worth taking notes from:

Donny Pangilinan made this year's Best Dressed list after swapping his usual tailored suits for an oversized trench-coat style coat draped over a fitted black tank, designed by Jerome Lorico and styled by John Lozano. If there's one way to describe his look, it's a loose, pinstriped set with a lot of movement.

Brent Manalo brought deconstructed formalwear to life in a black suit set with a twist of raw contrast stitching along the seams and unexpected cream-colored patch pockets peeking out from the pants. His look definitely makes you take a second glance, designed by Bagasáo Studios and styled by Ryuji Shiomitsu.

Michael Sager marked his first-ever Preview Ball appearance in an unfinished-looking camel blazer, designed by Bagasáo Studios. The whole ensemble gives that "still on the sewing table" look, with visible stitching on the seams and pocket edges. Talk about starting strong at your debut red carpet!

Raymond Gutierrez really got the assignment! Decked out in Comme des Garçons, he went full military-inspired deconstruction in olive green, with layered flap pockets stacked across the chest and balloon-like trousers cinched at the ankle, finishing off the look with a mini crossbody bag and lace-up boots. Now that's what you call deconstructed.

Josh Ford kept it monochrome but far from simple in an all-black look by Bang Pineda, styled by Ivor Jullian. The double-breasted jacket came with unfinished shoulder seams, worn over a simple black button-down and trousers. His entire fit proves all-black doesn't have to mean boring, as the details do the heavy lifting.

BJ Pascual proved you don't need custom-made pieces to nail a theme, as his entire look came straight from his own closet! He wore a sheer, textured Margiela top in a diamond-patterned weave, paired with velvet Rick Owens trousers, and finished off the look holding a YSL bag. Sometimes raiding your own closet for the right textures does the trick!

Alden Richards didn't leave tradition behind as he brought a distinct Filipino spin to the theme, wearing a deconstructed denim double-breasted suit by Koko Gonzalez with a barong worn right underneath it. The tailored denim piece gave an "undone" edge, keeping both tailored and heritage elements all in one place.
