How To Enhance Your Natural Brows Like You Didn't Even Try

Low-key prettify your kilay in 3 steps!

Do you remember the time when we were all pressured to have an impeccable set of arches just like Cara Delevingne's? Instagram brows were so hot back then. Today, I'm happy to report that you can stop forcing yourself to follow this trend. Embracing your imperfect set of kilay is in—it's all about looking natural.

Jigs Mayuga, a makeup artist who has worked on the faces of Angel Locsin, Bela Padilla, Angelica Panganiban, and Maxine Medina, is obsessed with feathery brows. He simply enhances the arch and emphasize each hair strand, which of course, makes it look more YOU, and not fake and overly done.

Jigs revealed his secrets during the launch of Calyxta, and we took down notes like a model student! Here's how you can cop the look in three steps:

1. Prep the arches with a brow wax. This tames hairs and makes them look more 3D. His secret weapon is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Primer, which is unfortunately not available here!

Alternatively, you can just use any colorless or light-hued waxy product:

2. Brush the brow hairs up, and fill in the bald spots with pencil using light hair-like strokes. Just follow your natural arch, and don't bother with drawing on the top outline of your kilay. "Brows aren't supposed to be twins; they're cousins or sisters," Jigs explained.

3. For the final and crucial step to get the feathery look, set with colorless mascara. "I used to be a fan of colored mascaras, but now, I always use clear [ones]," he confessed.

Jigs also shared that you can use hairspray if you don't own clear mascara. Mist it on a spoolie and stroke the arches upwards.
