While most people likely wouldn't consider succulents (desk plants) an appealing thing to eat for dessert, the newest cake trend sweeping social media might just change your mind.
As multiple sources report, bakers have recently started piping tiny succulents and cacti onto their cakes instead of the more traditional floral icing fare — and the results are nothing short of ~*stunning*~. Featuring a gorgeous palette of colors that would be right at home in the desert (or, in this case, the dessert), succulent cakes (a.k.a., terrarium cakes) are almost too pretty to eat!
Even if you've killed every houseplant you've ever brought into your home, this trend allows you to enjoy the beauty of a terrarium in its prime without actually having to do any of the work. Talk about having your cake and eating it, too!
They also come in all shapes and sizes, from cupcakes to wedding cakes.
Who needs a green thumb when you can just have a frosting-covered one?
