What You Need To Know About Issy's New Perfumes And Pop-Up Launch

Each 50ml bottle of the eau de parfum retails for P1,499. Three perfumes are debuting this week: 492 Scent of Possibility, 030 Scent of Intensity, and 551 Scent of Familiarity.

Each bottle comes equipped with a magnetic lid so it snaps shut once you're done spritzing the perfume and is safely tucked into a secure white box. Scent of Possibility comes in the white bottle, Scent of Intensity in the black, and Scent of Familiarity in the silver. The cylindrical body features an emboss of the Issy typeface, while the lid has a debossed font. The brand's typeface is also present on the sleek, minimalist box, complete with the fragrance's number and name, and "eau de parfum" in all caps.

According to the website, the white bottle—named 429 Scent of Possibility—contains top notes of Aldehydes, Bergamot, and Neroli; with middle notes of Jasmine, Lemon Blossom, Gardenia, and Lily of the Valley; and base notes of White Musk and Sandalwood. The fragrance leans clean, green, and floral based on the description and aims to capture the potentials of an infinite white space. We're excited to experience all the scents, but this one's looking like a favorite.

Issy's 030 Scent of Intensity seems to be the boldest sibling of them all, with top notes of Black Cherry, Saffron, Nutmeg, and Rosemary, along with middle notes of Incense, Amber, and Jasmine, finished off with base notes of Leather, Suede, Guaiac Wood, and Animalic Musk. Dark, spicy, with hints of sweetness and warmth, this bottle takes the wearer to an entirely different plane and we're eager to see how it ups the ante during a roaring night out.

Understated with a presence, the third scent in the Issy catalog—551 Scent of Familiarity—has top notes of Green Apple and Bergamot, middle notes of Ambroxan, Jasmine, and Moss Water, and base notes of Iso E Super, Clean Musk, and Animalic Musk. Based on the description it seems to be a subtle scent that sits loftily on the skin without being too in your face. Though we haven't smelled it ourselves, we're already envisioning it on the shelves of many as a trusty daily scent that can go from day to night. 

To the uninitiated, an eau de parfum is a level above the eau de toilette and eau de cologne. With a 15% to 20% oil concentration, eau de parfums, or abbreviated as EDP, contain lower amounts of alcohol, meaning there's more of the oil that actually carries the scent of your perfume, compared to other formulations. On average, eau de parfums last about four to five hours, at times six, before the scent is gone. Some opt to re-spritz, while some prefer the lingering base notes to completely fade as their day ends. All this to say that Issy's EDP has a higher concentration of oil that's crafted to last a long time on your skin and clothes.

Some folks who got the perfumes early and tested the bottle reported at least up to six hours of wear, so we're pretty excited to try it out ourselves.

You can get a whiff of the new Issy scents at their fragrance pop-up happening on May 23 to 24 at Baked Studios in Makati City. Over the course of two days, perfume lovers can smell the three fragrances, purchase their bottles, and enjoy sweet deals at launch.

Three time slots are available per day, each lasting three hours long. 

To secure a slot, an RSVP via their website is required. You also need to follow their socials, and more details are available on the website. Only one person can be registered per name or account, so if you're planning to go with your besties, you have to sign up individually for your desired time slot. Don't stress—there are 500 slots per time slot, so there's still room! Last we checked, there were more than 300 slots left for all the days, but it's better to sign up ASAP so you don't miss the chance. Here's a map to the location so you don't get lost!
