Undeniably, the clips of her reports showcase not only her talent in newscasting but also her beauty skills. Even when the rain is pouring, the streets are flooded, and droplets are falling on her face, EJ's makeup remains flawless. They're budge-proof and infallible, capable of making it through anything.

"I'm fully aware of the viral issue po involving me wearing, as you, netizens say, 'typhoon-proof makeup,' 'plakado make up,' 'ride-or-die makeup,' 'slay and fresh makeup,' 'no hulas makeup,' and so on. Know that I see you po and I appreciate you all po."

Hand-in-hand with the gratitude is EJ's sincere hope for the content of her reports to stand as the priority, especially given that crime news is her main beat. She shared, "I'm very much humbled po of all the praises, of course, pero sana po nagagawa ko pong ihatid ng maayos ang mga balita sa madla as intended po…"

Like anyone working in other industries, she expressed that she simply exerts the effort to be more presentable for her job. "As a news personality po, I just want to look good on and off cam whenever in the field. I fix my face, my self, bago pumasok. At kapag trabaho na, talagang trabaho na po. Speaking truthfully, my face is among the least of things I think of once I've switched on my hustle button. Keber na po sa init, pawis, ulan o baha kapag nagtatrabaho na, lalo na kapag intense po ang mga kaganapan."

Further expressing her insights on the topic, EJ prepared a thoughtful TikTok video, which has garnered 1.7 million views and more than 140,000 likes within three days.
The fearless reporter ended her open letter, saying she'll get back to the concerns and comments after resting because she, literally, just got back from the mountains. She also conveyed the message of spreading good vibes, saying everyone has the ability to be "serving facecard while serving the country." EJ then hinted that she's not the type to gatekeep, with the belief that sharing is caring. As netizens await the highly anticipated reveal of her viral routine, we'll continue applying these waterproof beauty tips of pro makeup artists for now.
