Yup, there are two!

It’s—or they’re—here! Pantone just announced there will be two colors for 2016:

Rose Quartz (pale pink) and Serenity (baby blue) have been named as the two biggest colors for the coming year. The Wall Street Journal reports that Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone’s Executive Director, said that the two colors have always been seen together, so it makes sense to pair them.

Add hints of baby blue to your makeup without looking like a confused teenager in the ‘90s. We recommend using cream shadows—like Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in Pastel Blue and Shiseido Shimmering Eye Color in Ice—as a wash of color on your lids to upgrade your everyday eye look. The shimmer in the shadows will draw light to your peepers, making you look more awake. Experiment with the products by using them as a soft highlight on your features—blend the product out to evenly distribute and sheer it out. Trade in your usual black and brown liner and opt for a baby blue liner instead. We say try out Revlon PhotoReady Kajal Matte Eye Pencil in Matte Marine. (Here’s a tutorial on that!)

Paint your nails with a soft blue hue that will go with any outfit. We recommend using Essie’s Borrowed & Blue.

Pale pink makeup can work for almost every skin tone—it’s just a matter of finding the right place to position it.

Sweep on a pale pink blush on your cheeks to get a fresh and youthful glow. Our pick is the Dandelion boxed blush by Benefit.

Open up your eyes by using a pale pink liner on your lower lash line. This gives the illusion of wider and brighter eyes in just one swipe—perfect for hiding puyat peepers!

Soft pink lips will work really well if you wish to try strong makeup looks, especially the ones with lots of blue. We recommend using Revlon Ultra HD Lacquer in Rose Quartz and Estee Lauder Liquid Lip Potion in Fierce Beauty.
