Apparently, There Is A Proper Way To Use Face Wipes

You've been living a lie.

Face wipes are every lazy girl's best friend. Can't be bothered with your full-on three step skincare routine? No worries—a five second rubdown with facial wipes and you're sorted. Or so we thought. 

Because it turns out there's actually a right and wrong way to cleanse your face using skincare wipes. And you might have been doing it wrong all this time. 

Beverly Hills-based dermatologist Debra Luftman told InStyle:

"It's important to use your wipe from the forehead down to the jaw, so that you don't end up redistributing oil and bacteria around your face and causing breakouts," says Dr. Luftman, who's also a consultant for Simple Skincare. 

Dr. Luftman says to leave the worst areas 'til last: "Finish wiping at your nose, as it's one of the grimiest parts of the face." Then throw out the wipe.

Never again will we use a facial wipe in the same way.
