Everything You Need To Know About Beauty Creams, From AA to EE

We know you're confused, so we want to help!

Truth: alphabet creams are overwhelming.

With so many double-letter variants out in the market today, it's hard to know which cream is the best one to use for your skin type. Lucky for you, we compiled a list of all these multitasking moisturizers to help you ease into the world of alphabet beauty!

1. AA Cream

This is simply your Anti-aging moisturizer, which can be either oil- or cream-based. AA Creams improve the skin's texture by smoothening fine lines and wrinkles caused by excessive sun exposure. These creams also improve your skin's elasticity. Most AA Creams are simply, well, moisturizers, and do not contain UVA/UVB protection. Plus, they go on super sheer, and are NOT pigmented like your concealer or your foundation.

2. BB Cream

Also known as the Blemish or Beauty Balm, this cream is a mean multitasker. It's an anti-aging moisturizer packed with pigment to conceal blemishes on your face. Some BB Creams contain hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or vitamin C—giving you a healthy glow...forever. Because the more you use it, the better your skin will look.

3. CC Cream

CC stands for Color and Care or Color and Correct. Sure, it's lighter than your average BB Cream, but it contains more pigment—making it perfect for gals who get the occasional breakout.

4. DD Cream

Or Daily Defense/Dynamic Do-All. This all-in-one cream really does everything: It decreases the size of your pores, mattifies your face to a shine-free finish, evens your skin tone, smoothens bumps and blemishes, moisturizes, primes, and improves your skin's elasticity. Plus, it provides a good amount of UVA/UVB protection. A drawback? It's not available in the Philippines...YET.

5. EE Cream

The Extra Exfoliating Cream is the newest alphabet cream to hit the beauty world. It's a "botanical-based marine mousse" which contains ingredients like oatmeal, bamboo stem powder, marine algae extract, and jojoba beads. Translation: You can exfoliate your skin, without having to rub and scrub! Less scrubbing, means less chances of you breaking out!  YAY!
