How To Prevent Painful Chafing Between Your Thighs

You'll only need one thing!

Anyone with big thighs knows that chafing is a real struggle. You can look really cute the whole night in a pretty dress—when in reality, the inside of your thighs are BURNING from chafing.

Chafing happens when the skin gets irritated and sore after another part of the body is rubbed against it. For example, if you have big thighs and you wear a dress, your thighs will inevitably rub against each other as you go through the day. It’s also very common among people who exercise a lot. It’s very annoying. Of course, it’s not limited to  just the thighs. Chafing also happens on different parts of the body, like your armpits, underarms, and even your groin.

So how do you prevent it? Lubricate, of course! Some websites will tell you to apply petroleum jelly on your problem areas to keep them from being irritated, but you can actually try one thing you already use every day: deodorant. Before you head out the door, apply some deodorant—preferably the stick kind—in between your thighs and you’re good to go. Heck, even Amy Schumer did the trick before she headed to this year’s MET gala.
