Lorin Bektas Is Putting Off Her Plans To Have A Nose Job—Here's What Changed Her Mind

Published on Jul 8, 2025
Nose jobs are getting a lot of love (and opinions) online, especially from Filipinos who are openly talking about wanting to "fix" their Asian nose. From TikTok transformations to before-and-after glow-ups, it's become a legit conversation starter.
And Lorin Bektas? She totally gets it.
The 21-year-old daughter of Ruffa Gutierrez recently went live on Tiktok and revealed that she did consider getting a nose job. However, she also shared that she decided to put the plan on pause.
Spoiler: It had everything to do with the price tag.

"I started calling plastic surgery offices in Los Angeles… 'Oh, what would the cost be?' Please guess how much these people are quoting me. $70,000. Isn't that like three million [pesos]?" Lorin shared on her TikTok live.
"Excuse me? I would rather look like Pinocchio for the rest of my life than pay that money!" she quipped.
That's definitely the kind of price that'll humble you real quick, and according to Lorin, that was a sure "sign from God" to cancel her plans for a nose job for now.
"70,000 dollars. I [can] buy myself literally three Birkins, and have my big nose gladly. What the F," Lorin joked.
And while she was definitely half-laughing through it, she also shared how her background plays into wanting to have the procedure overseas.
"The thing with the Philippines [is] my nose is like not a Filipino nose. So, I feel like they wouldn't know how to do it," she said, referring to surgeons abroad.
To be clear, Lorin's not out here saying she hates her nose. She's totally aware it's not a "bad" nose at all, but just something she once thought she’d tweak a little.
"This is another thing. I understand my nose is not awful. I'm not saying my nose is awful... There are just like slight tweaks. It's very, like, small, what I want to be done. I'm not asking them to break my nose and remove the bone," she said.
"I want it the most subtle, subtle differences, and I told them that when I was getting the quote… So, for the most subtle difference, you're gonna charge me with $70,000? Do I look like Jeff Bezos…" she added.
Followers in the comments suggested she try getting the procedure done in Turkey, especially since her dad lives there.
And while she hasn't totally shut the door on the idea, she’s also not in a rush. If she does go for it one day, she says we’ll definitely be in the loop.
"I don't know if I might. If I get one, I'll vlog it," she noted.
