2Ne1 members CL, Sandara Park, and Park Bom have released their final single and music video. The song, titled "Goodbye," features lyrics co-written by CL. Its black-and-white music video contains clips from the epic career of the K-pop girl group.
PEP reports: "Former 2NE1 member Minzy (Gong Min-ji) did not participate in the music video but she can be seen in [the] old footage of the Korean girl group."
Minzy's parting words made things even sadder.
In an Instagram post on January 20, Minzy revealed, "It's a shame that I had to find out 2NE1 will be releasing their final album through a news article."
She continued, "This is very unfortunate as I was previously a member of the group 2NE1, but I share the same feelings as the other members in wanting to show appreciation and bid farewell to everyone for all their love and support of 2NE1."
Minzy ended her Instagram post by thanking fans. "I am truly grateful and sincerely appreciate all the love 2NE1 received and hope for your extended love and support as the members continue on in their individual careers. Thank you."
Meanwhile, #NEVERSAYGOODBYE2NE1 trended worldwide. The group's fans were clearly distraught.
