Want your life to be just like the movies? Ha, you better rethink that. Some flicks' plotlines are so ridiculously impossible that they make real life look so much better. Hashtag, #ILuvLyf.
Behold, the most complicated and unrealistic scenarios from Pinoy pelikulas.
Bride For Rent
We’d love life even more if it were that easy to hire a pseudo partner to get your trust fund. But would you really just hire someone to marry you without at least Facebook-stalking first?
When Love Begins
Mitch (Anne Curtis) denies feeling anything for Ben (Aga Muhlach), whom she met while on vacation in Boracay, by saying, "What happens in Boracay, stays in Boracay." Right. Like that ever happens.
“This just can’t be summer love, you’ll see…”
My Amnesia Girl
Reenacting how you met and every day after that to help you build new memories in exchange for those you lost? John Lloyd, marry me!
But really, if your ex actually gets amnesia, wouldn’t everyone know about it? Or since no one dared to speak up, wouldn't Apollo's (John Lloyd Cruz) first instinct be to ask around or at least research a little about how it happened? That totally would have been all over Facebook. Duh.
Sari (Bea Alonzo) was in for the shock of her life when she found out that her suitor JD (John Lloyd Cruz) is actually the stepson of her boyfriend Rico (Ronaldo Valdez). It's called social media, people. Try to keep up with the times.
'Til There Was You
Single dad Albert (Piolo Pascual) finds a random girl’s (Judy Ann Santos) photo in a bus and allows his daughter to grow up believing the girl in the photo is her mom. Way harsh.
All My Life
On their last night in the cruise ship where they met, Sam (Aga Muhlach) reveals to Louie (Kristine Hermosa) that he was actually in her wedding when she bailed after finding out her groom cheated on her. He proved this by giving her the shoe she left behind when she ran. Most girls would probably find this creepy rather than serendipitous. Also, this is pushing Cinderella's story a tad too far.
I Love You, Goodbye
Lizelle (Angelica Panganiban) cheats on her husband Adrian (Gabby Concepcion) for Gary (Derek Ramsay). Adrian tries to confront Gary about the affair, but he witnesses an accident which kills the latter, and he ends up signing Gary's death certificate. Hmm, maybe a more believable scenario would have been Adrian making sure the homewrecker leaves his family in peace. Was death really necessary?
One More Try
To save their child from a severe blood illness, former lovers Grace (Angel Locsin) and Edward (Dingdong Dantes), who now live separate lives with new partners, have to conceive another child...the natural way. Okay, whatever happened to science and medical advancement?!
