ABS-CBN's Big TV Offerings For 2010

Expect more dramas, a local version of a popular Latinovela, and the return of the Kapamilya queen of soap operas.

To celebrate 60 years of drama, ABS-CBN, of course, will offer more dramas in its lineup up programs for the new year. They will also be shuffling the ensemble of a top-rating soap for a new one, reboot a well-liked program, as well as localize an original Mexican soap. This year will also mark the much-awaited return of their queen of soap. See the Kapamilya 2010 salvo below.

Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo
Take away Jake Cuenca, retain the Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson love team, then make Coco Martin figure in a love triangle with them and keep Ms. Gina Pareno, and you now have, not Tayong Dalawa part two, but a totally new soap headlined by veteran actors Kris Aquino, Gabby Concepcion, Ms. Gloria Romero, Albert Martinez, and Jaclyn Jose, who now returns to the Kapamilya fold.

Habang May Buhay
More than two years in the making, with its original head writer and director now in GMA-7, the first "Nurse-serye" is topbilled by Judy Ann Santos, who reigns once more in the drama genre, this time with two new leading men: Will Devaughn and Derek Ramsey. This soap also stars Al Tantay, William Martinez, Angel Aquino, Bangs Garcia, Michael de Mesa, Melanie Marquez, Candy Pangilinan, Mickey Ferriols, Brent Javier, Maxine Eigenmann, and Ina Feleo, among others.

Tanging Yaman
ABS-CBN’s first political drama features teen stars Erich Gonzales, Matt Evans, Ejay Falcon, Enchong Dee, and Melissa Ricks, with the comebacking Rowell Santiago and actress Agot Isidro playing the First Couple. Joining the cast are Leo Martinez, Jodi Santamaria, and Noni Buencamino.

Rubi
The local version of the Mexican telenovela will finally launch Angelica Panganiban in her first solo and major show, with no less than Diether Ocampo as her leading man.

Kokey @ Ako
Kapamilya’s favorite alien returns to the small screen, and joining it will be the queen of fantasy series herself, Angel Locsin.
