Alden Richards on Termination of Party Pilipinas: "Life goes on."

The Cosmo bachelor expresses his sadness over the show's final days.

Alden Richards is sad that his Sunday noontime show Party Pilipinas is coming to an end after more than two successful years on air.

The young actor was clearly affected by the termination of the show which he says has played a big part in his growth as an actor. When asked by PEP.ph how he felt about the news during his last taping for Party Pilipinas, he replied, “Napamahal na sa akin ang show. Ang dami kong memories dito. Hindi ko ini-expect noon na magiging stage performer ako, doing singing, dancing, and more... Dito talaga ako na-develop as an artist.”

He will also miss seeing and meeting his colleagues every Sunday. “Ang ibang artista ay dito kami nagkikita-kita. Nag-i-ipun-ipon. Nagsasama-sana. So, ang dami kong na-meet,” he explained.

When there were still speculations about the impending end of Party Pilipinas, Alden and his co-stars saw it as a challenge to do better in hopes of saving the show.

“Kasi noon, ang dami nang speculations na last na 'to — na bibigyan na lang nila kami ng three months... then two months. Heto na nga, nangyari na. Hindi naman talaga ako na-shock. Pero, nalulungkot pa rin ako.”
