According to a report on Inquirer.net yesterday, June 29, Andi Eigenmann told the members of the press that she has been living a different kind of life in the municipality of Baler in Aurora—far from the glitz and glamour of show business.
Andi has been staying away from the spotlight since she decided to quit showbiz last year. In October 2017, Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) reported a statement shared by Andi exclusively to CNN Philippines: "Hindi naman sa iniiwan ko yong film industry, pero ayaw ko na ng showbiz."
Since the past few weeks, Andi has been promoting her latest film, The Maid in London. It is in these promotion rounds where she had the chance to update her fans and the media about how life has been for her in one of the country’s top surfing spots.
In the Inquirer.net report, Andi said that she felt Baler is where she and her daughter Ellie belong: "Na-realize ko lang na itong lugar na 'to, dito ako nababagay. I sold everything that I felt was an idea of luxury that I didn’t need. I don’t own cars, any designer clothes, bags—lahat ng mga pang-artistang ‘yan, makeup, lahat ‘yan wala na. Kahit mga kasama sa bahay, yaya, driver, wala na lahat—talagang simple life."
According to the report, the actress just bought a piece of land in Baler, and is planning to have her own little house built there. "Malaki lang yong garden, ako na yong mag-plant ng mga halaman," she said.
She also confirmed during the interview that she has broken up with Emilio Arambulo. "I don’t have a partner, I’m single right now, happily single, yes, by choice."
Good luck on your new life, Andi!
