Angelica Panganiban couldn't help but break down in tears as she publicly opened up about her bone disease.

During her recent guesting on Magandang Buhay, the 37-year-old mother talked about how difficult it was for her to process the news at the time. She shared how heartbreaking it was for her to be diagnosed with such a disease, especially now that she has become a mother to her firstborn Amila Sabine.

Angelica was diagnosed with avascular necrosis, which she described as "bone death." "Kumbaga namatay ang hip bone ko. Nawalan na siya ng blood flow, hindi niya kayang gumaling on its own. Kailangan ng tulong, like ng operation, hip replacement, mga ganyan," she relayed her the information she received from her doctor.

Sadness and uneasiness hit Angelica upon hearing her medical diagnosis.

The actress shared that she has always felt pain in her legs, which was caused by her bone disease. The best way to treat it is to undergo surgery—and this wasn't Angelica's first option at all.

Now that she's getting the right care from experts, she hopes to feel better and become the best version of herself, both mentally and physically for her daughter. "Talagang nagiging positive lang mentally ganun. Sabi nga nila i-manifest natin 'yung healing," she declared.

In a vlog posted in November 2023, Angelica shared her battle with "bone death." According to her, the symptoms had already been present when she was around six months pregnant with Amila Sabine. She initially dismissed it as family, friends, and even her OB-GYN thought it was a part of her pregnancy. But she continued to feel the pain even after giving birth. At the time, she thought that the pain was caused by her excessive workouts like yoga.

We're hoping for the best results regarding your health, Angelica!
