The wedding of Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff on November 12, 2017, was undeniably a success. Being a destination wedding set in New Zealand, it was potentially a logistical nightmare. But fans and netizens raved about how detailed and ironed-out the weekend was.
In an interview with Magandang Buhay, Anne shared details about the planning and execution of their nuptials in Queenstown, NZ. She revealed that they didn't even have a wedding planner, except for her and Erwan's joint efforts.
She said, "Wala kaming wedding planner. Kumuha kami ng wedding organizer doon to help source out the materials that we wanted. Pero it was all Erwan."
The 33-year-old actress-host gave credit to Erwan and his groomsmen for keeping the order amongst their many guests, "Alam mo kung sino mga nag-ayos nu'n, yung mga groomsmen ni Erwan. Kaya sumusunod lahat ng guests. Sila Nico, si Jack, si Spike, lahat ng groomsmen ni Erwan, hine-herd nila yung mga guests kaya lahat on-time sa bus, lahat on-time sa venue, cause we had such a great team."
Anne also noted that one of the biggest struggles that they had to decide on was the venue. She shared, "Yung pinakamalaki naming debate kung saan naming gagawin. French siya, Australian ako, tapos pareho kaming Pilipino. Nung una talaga meron na kaming top choices: Tasmania and Australia. Si Erwan gusto talaga niya sa New Zealand, and ako may isa pa akong gustong venue sa Switzerland."
She added, "Si Erwan, nung nagpo-propose pa lang siya, alam na niya kung saan na gusto kami ikakasal. Nung November na-engage kami. December nag-Australia kami at nag-book na siya kung saan kami magve-venue hopping. Then the minute we landed in Queenstown, New Zealand. Sabi ko, 'This is it!' Sobrang 'yon talaga ugali naming dalawa. Sobrang relaxed."
