Ariana Grande just dropped her new single "No Tears Left to Cry," and it's her first music release since her concert in Manchester was bombed last year, leaving 22 dead and over 500 others injured.
She also released the music video for the song today, and you can watch the full thing here:
The lyrics to the chorus seem really emotional, as the song's title suggests. She sings, "Right now I'm in a state of mind/ I wanna be in like all the time/ Ain't got no tears left to cry/ So I'm pickin' it up, I'm pickin' up (oh yeah)/ I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up/ Oh I just want you to come with me/ We're on another mentality/ Ain't got no tears left to cry (so don't cry)/ So I'm pickin' it up, I'm pickin' up (oh yeah)/ I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up," but the actual tune of the song sounds optimistic.
After the bombing, Grande suspended her "Dangerous Woman" tour temporarily. She Instagrammed this picture after the attack, writing that, "Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before."
She returned to the U.K. weeks after the attack to perform in the celebrity-filled One Love Manchester charity concert, while she was there, her and her manager went to visit victims of the attack in the hospital.
Since then, Grande has kept a relatively low profile. She tweeted this single tear earlier this week in anticipation of her new song.
