It's going to be one exciting year for Bea Alonzo as the new Kapuso star is set to be the female lead in an upcoming Filipino-Hollywood film, Angel Warrior.
According to a report from Variety, Angel Warrior is set during World War II and Bea will portray a "she-devil" named Tala. She has a near-death experience that "transforms her into an underground fighter aiding the poorly-equipped Filipino and American guerillas on the island of Panay."
The film will be produced by Inspire Studios’ CEO Francis Lara Ho and executive produced by John Shepherd and Manny Pacquiao. Angel Warrior will begin shooting in mid-2022 and will be released in the United States and worldwide in late 2022. The report added that the film will be presented in Los Angeles as part of the Filipino-American History Month that takes place on October 2.
On Instagram, Bea confirmed the good news and wrote, "And the secret is out!!! Yes, I'll be doing a World War 2 film soon. I'll keep you posted about the future developments."

Since moving to the Kapuso network in July, Bea has appeared in Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, The Boobay And Tekla Show, and is set to do an appearance in the Philippines' longest-running gag show, Bubble Gang.
