Bela Padilla Hard Launches Her Tech CEO Boyfriend—And Shares How They Met

Bela Padilla has been in her lover girl era for some time now (eight months to be exact!), and she just made things publicly official with her boyfriend!

The actress—who's also Cosmopolitan Philippines' Women of Influence 2026 headliner—had a cute hard-launch moment with Martin Tan, CEO of software company Tenext.ai, after the two were featured in Meet Cutes Manila. Their short video was posted on Instagram on September 13, where they were spotted together at the Legazpi Sunday Market in Makati City.

When asked if they were a couple, Bela happily said "yes," confirming what fans had been speculating about. Martin also shared how they first met, and it was truly an organic encounter. "We met through a common friend," he said.

Bela shared that they immediately found common ground when they first met. "He said he liked movies, and I love movies also. So I was very, very excited when he started talking about films."

It's not hard to see why this was a good conversation starter for Bela, who has been working in the entertainment industry for years. More recently, she starred alongside Maricel Soriano in Life After You, which premiered in cinemas on September 9.

She also made her theater debut last August in The Sandbox Collective's People, Places, and Things, where she acted alongside Jake Cuenca.

But beyond her work and talent, Martin shared the things he loves most about Bela. He said he loves "her brain" and that "she's funny," while her beauty also made the list.

For Bela, having someone who is game to join her on different adventures is also important. And it looks like she found that in Martin. "He's game to try anything, like, going to markets even if it's early," she said.

More than that, Bela has also found comfort in their relationship. She shared that Martin knows how to cheer her up when she's going through a tough time. "When he knows that I'm going through something, he'll plan a trip. So, yeah, I think beach trips, that's my fave."

The couple first sparked dating rumors in August this year after fans spotted them together in public several times. Some were candid photos that appeared to show them on dates, while they were also seen together at the launch of Dra. Aivee Aguilar-Teo and Dr. Z Teo's pet lifestyle clinic.

This is Bela's most recent confirmed relationship after her four-year relationship with Norman Bay ended in 2025 due to differences in their plans.

And now, Bela seems to be enjoying a pretty exciting chapter, both in her career and love life. Between taking on new projects and finding someone who enjoys the little adventures with her, it looks like she has plenty to be happy about.
