Billy Crawford finally came clean after rumors of his alleged arrest in Hong Kong surfaced this past week. Billy and his girlfriend Coleen Garcia spent the Halloween festivities in Hong Kong with other celeb friends, but the two were said to have been involved in an altercation with an unknown man on Lan Kwai Fong street.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, the Kapamilya host denied that he punched the man who grabbed Coleen’s butt as they were walking in the street. Yes, a commotion did happen but nothing that led to his arrest. Billy says:
“In all honesty, if I was locked up in Hong Kong, I wouldn’t be back here 'cause it’s an ongoing case if ever. But there’s no case. The case was dropped because Coleen didn’t wanna press any charges.
We weren’t arrested at all but in Hong Kong kasi the rules are: if there’s anything that’s happening in the streets of Hong Kong, you will be questioned. So we went to the precinct and had to explain our side. It was really blown out of proportion.”
Billy, who was infamously detained in a Taguig precinct after the 2014 Star Magic Ball, says that the rumors did affect him because people were quick to make their judgments.
“Nakakalungkot lang, walang nag-confirm. Wala man lang kumausap sa akin at nagtanong man lang sa amin on our side.
I’ve made terrible decisions in my life that I’ve actually been paying for ‘til now. I love Coleen with all my heart and I will always be here for her.”
