If I mentioned that I were going to get a tattoo, my dad would probably have made an embarrassing scene and blocked the door to the tattoo shop. But then my dad isn't David Beckham.

The former footballer accompanied his son Brooklyn to get his very first tattoo to mark his 18th birthday in LA over the weekend.

David took artsy black and white shots of Brooklyn getting inked by artist and close friend Mark Mahoney, which Brooklyn shared on his Instagram page.

The aspiring photographerwho turned 18 on March 4added the caption: "Honoured to have my first tattoo done by dads friend Mark Mahoney."

He then revealed the finished producta native illustration, "just like dad's." David has a similar inking on his torso, which he also got done at Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood.

The sports star also shared a clip of Brooklyn's tattoo session to his Instagram stories. Could David be any cooler?

Meanwhile, mom Victoria has also been busy in LA, as she appeared on James Corden's Late Late Show, starred in a remake of '80s classic Mannequin with the TV host, and sang a Spice Girl hit for Carpool Karaoke.

A day before their father and son tattoo bonding session, Brooklyn was also pictured striking a sultry pose and looking all cool at Ariana Grande's concert.
