Carla Abellana Finally Reacts To Her Rumored December Wedding—Plus, What's Really Going On In Her Love Life

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: celebs are allowed to keep some things to themselves. Not every detail of their lives (especially their love lives) needs to be on full display, and honestly, that's more than okay.

Carla Abellana echoes those exact sentiments over her relationship status at the moment. ICYMI, she's been at the center of the rumor mill that alludes to her rumored upcoming wedding this December.

When she attended a press event on October 10, 2025, Carla didn't shy away from inquiries about her private life—but she kept it simple. "Nakakapag-date ako. So, masaya. Masaya sa work, masaya sa private life," she admitted when asked about any developments in her life.

Carla noted that she has long been open about expressing her desires to date and to explore love years after her separation from Tom Rodriguez. "So, masaya po ako. At least, nakakaya ko na po, na-e-explore ko na po yung ganung side," she said.

That said, press members brought up the rumored wedding and engagement reported by showbiz insider Ogie Diaz. Carla neither denied nor confirmed the report, saying, "I invoke my right to self-incrimination, I refuse to say yes. I refuse to say no."

Moreover, Carla made it clear that if there's any update in her life, she would want to keep everything private until she's ready to share it with the world.

"I would like to keep it private. Sa dami naman po ng aking pinagdaanan na very publicized before, may choice naman po ako, kumbaga, kung ilalabas ko po yun or hindi, if I want to keep it private. So, kung may kailangan man po akong sabihin, sa akin po manggagaling yun nang diretso at hindi po sa iba," Carla proclaimed.

If there's one thing Carla can confidently assure the public, it's that she's healed from the heartbreak of her past. "Of course I'm a different person today than I was before. Ginamot ko po siya nang matinding-matindi at mahirap na mahirap nang ilang taon," she stated in the same press interview above.

That said, we did a little harmless snooping on Instagram and saw Carla post a snap that definitely caught our attention. Back in July 2025, Carla shared a photo of her seemingly having a meal with someone. Her caption was, "Hi ☺️"

It was a simple caption, but it was perfect for what could be a soft launch post. Some of Carla's celebrity friends, like Iya Villania commented, "Uy 😆" And then there's Karel Marquez saying, "Revealed naaaa."

Although Carla didn't respond to the comments, the post kept everyone intrigued and leaving heart emojis to her post—thinking it might be her new beau.

So, as the Internet continues to speculate about her wedding, Carla has just been working—and actually, looking for work, LOL! Soon though, she'll be working on Shake, Rattle & Roll Origins promotions.

The actress has been cast in the said film, and it's part of the Metro Manila Film Festival this year. "Parang tatlo lang po yata yung promo namin sa Shake, Rattle & Roll. Bigyan niyo po akong trabaho. Please po, more work. Wala na pong pangkain yung aking mga aso," she cheekily told the press.
